FAQ
What and how?
Coaching is goal and action oriented, hands-on and supports you to reach specific goals and to overcome specific blockages or issues. Coaching is short-term with an average of 3 to 10 sessions. Key themes include increasing self-efficacy and psychological resilience as well as grounding in a more balanced approach to life. If you seek deeper healing, therapy is your call.
Psychotherapy is process oriented and is characterised by deeper psychological exploratory work. Psychotherapy sustains deeper and profound healing focusing on the relief from, and growth in, psychological symptoms and mental and emotional distress. It supports you to deepen your insight into the ‘Why’ of your doings and being. This includes uprooting dysfunctional beliefs, completing unfelt/unresolved emotions, healing relationship issues, exploring habitual thought- and behavioural patterns, finding new ways of thinking and being, and coming to post-traumatic growth.
I offer in-depth talk therapy. My holistic approach to psychotherapy harnasses multiple approaches and therapeutic interventions. Each collaborative and functional to your process - drawing from both ACT-CBT and Gestalt Psychotherapy. This allows us to explore what works best for you.
I am an accredited and registered psychotherapist at the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) (included in their UKCP National Register). I hold a Clinical Diploma and MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy (and LL.M.), ACT-CBT certification and membership of the UK Council for Psychotherapy, Metanoia Institute and BAATN. Prior to private practice, I have worked with eating disorders (EDs), addiction and dual diagnostic treatments in clinical settings. As part of my former career, I have held a registration as a solicitor at the Dutch Bar Association.
